Frequently Asked Questions
Every attendee is encouraged to go to the church website www.gatheringchurch.cc and register for the gathering time of their choice. The registration form will ask what gathering they are choosing and how many people are in their group. They will also have the opportunity to choose their seat preference. Once registered, they will be provided a “QR” code via email that they may print or download to their smartphone and bring with them to show they have pre-registered and reserved specific seats.
The Gathering Church is excited about the opportunity to Regather in weekend gatherings. To ensure social distancing the church is using a pre-registration process in order to properly prepare. The church requests that everyone who plans to attend a weekend gathering to pre-register. If an individual or family forgets to register, they will not be turned away unless the building is at capacity.
The worship center seats 664 people and we will begin to operate at a 50% capacity which will allow us the opportunity to seat 332. Our online registration has been limited to 200 making room for attendees who do not have the ability to register, first time guests who simply show up and were not aware of the registration and those who may drive by the church and see that we are hosting gatherings and their church has not opened yet.
When attendees and guests pull onto the church property, they will be greeted by our phenomenal parking team volunteers and will follow the normal pattern throughout the parking lot. Each car will be parked with a parking space between them providing approximately a 9 feet barrier between each car.
No! Wearing a mask and gloves is optional for all attendees and First Time Guests. Each of our volunteers and staff will wear a mask and gloves in order to provide a layer of protection for our “At Risk” and Vulnerable attendees, but there are no requirements for church attendees.
The center double doors will remain closed and locked. When approaching the building, the double doors to right will serve as the entrance doors and the double doors to the left will serve as the exit doors. There are stanchions set in the middle of the lobby to assist with traffic flow. Stickers and arrows have been placed on the floor to guide attendees through the building. We will encourage attendees to go directly into the worship center and find their assigned seats and not to hang out in the lobby area for long periods of time. Pipe & Drape has been placed in front of the water fountains and individual water bottles have been provided. Coffee will not be served in the lobby. Stanchions have been placed in the restroom hallway to ensure proper social distancing.
No! Each attendee and guest is asked to practice common sense and respect when it comes to their personal decision making. If an attendee has a fever or is not feeling well the church simply asks that person to join us in worship on our online platforms.
A smile to share with everyone. A mask if desired. The printed or downloaded QR code from the pre-registration. A spirit of expectancy. A heart of worship. A mind of learning. A presence of prayer.
Yes! Located throughout the building will be bottles of hand sanitizer for the convenience of those who attend the gathering. The church encourages each attendee to bring their own hand sanitizer as well.
The safety of our attendees and first-time guests is a high priority for our leadership. Our risk management team will operate as normal inside the lobby and main worship center. Each risk management volunteer will wear a mask and gloves and practice social distancing. They're still needed for the worship center & lobby area. The church will provide cleaning solutions and wipes for the team to use to clean and sanitize the radios and storage area.
There is a possibility that some of our church family are unable to register online for a gathering. We ask that they contact the church office at 813-907-9818 and one of our team will make the registration in the system.
We believe our role as church leadership is to provide a safe, spacious, sanitized and supernatural gathering for families to come and worship together. We understand that some people will want to sit with friends and for things to return to a sense of normal. We ask that each person who attends show others respect and use common sense.
We ask that everyone in attendance practice social distancing and use common sense. Our “At Risk” attendees will be encouraged to remain seated until the majority of the worship center has emptied or until they feel comfortable exiting.
Yes! When registering simply look for the “At Risk” seating and choose the number of seats needed.
The Gathering Church places a high value on providing multiple avenues for your family to be connected to the church and to worshipping each week. In these uncertain times we have no intention of taking that away. In fact, we are hip treating it like an online campus. We believe that there is a large group of people who will stay and benefit from that experience.
